Live Music: Crazy Mountain Billies

Crazy Mountain Billies is the alias used by multi- instrumentalist musician and vocalist Andy "Banjo" Bormes to describe his unique playing style on banjo that sounds like multiple instruments at once, coupled with harmonica and percussive elements. Formed in 2009 in the Rocky Mountains, the C.M.B. Style can be described as a psychedelic form of mountain bluegrass music. "I can say with absolute certainty that I have rarely heard anything quite like the Crazy Mountain Billies... the playing is exceptional... all of the elements of Bluegrass, but without being classifiable as being part of that genre..."

Live Music: J-Calvin

J-Calvin is a neo-soul-funk band from Durango, Colorado. On New Year’s Eve 2017, the five members of J-Calvin brought their unique and varied musical backgrounds together for the first time. The result was a soul-abducting fusion of authentic lyrics, jazz-influenced harmonies, and Dilla-Inspired beats. The summer of 2018 brought their positive, high-energy show to Telluride Jazzfest and Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest, and on October 20th they celebrated the release of their debut album, Heart Glow, to a sold-out crowd headlining the iAM Music Fest in Durango. In the bands first year they played over 70 shows across the Southwest region at some of the areas finest music venues and have established strong roots in their home away from home Tucson, AZ. When not performing as J-Calvin, all members dedicate their time as music educators to iAM Music, a 501c3 non-profit music school that helps youth and adults pursue music, cultivates community events, and builds meaningful creative networks."

The monthly gatherings create space for community conversations, cultivate intentionality and deeper connection to place.
Let’s all slow down and enjoy all that supports us and fills us living in this place we call home!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Since Gather's goal in 2019 is to tie attendees to the heart of our local food system, it only makes since that we can bring our locally sourced and made ciders and wines to the table for the July dinner.
We will have an Asian-inspired menu paired with our ciders and wine from our featured chef from Stonefish Sushi & More in Cortez, CO.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

We gather to share amazing food and drink at a beautiful table in a fun and unique location, and most of all we gather to slow time, enjoy space and the enchantment of art, our local artisans and community.
