Art show runs from April 24th through June 9th
Growing up in Missouri, Kiley Tate Smith cultivated regard for the ordinary, mundane corners of life. Influenced by the aesthetics of Edward Hopper and Andrew Wyeth, he explores relationship to people, places, and moments through his creative process. Dilapidation, degradation, and obsolescence are re-occurring themes he uses to reference impermanence and the cyclic nature of all things.
Kiley has lived in Durango, CO for 8 years teaching, adventuring, and making art. He works as an environmental educator, sharing his passion for nature with the community.
